Ops Lab Kit Requirements

Any Student registering to take Ops and Cybersecurity courses is required to make a non-refundable purchase of an Ops Lab Kit pursuant to the specification as given in the description in following chapters. The purchased equipment can be new or secondhand, and it should be in a working condition for execution of the lab work. 

The Student individually purchases the Ops Lab Kit, which becomes the Student’s property and is further owned by the Student. The Ops Lab Kit should be available and set up by the Student at least one day before the start of the training. The Ops Lab Kit can be used for any of the Ops courses individually or for the full sequence. The proposed option is given to provide flexibility to the students to have practical experience along with the educational materials presented by the mentors.  

Please note that as more equipment is purchased by the Student the practical experience will be better and will have better insight into the material that should be covered during the learning process and training. 

This computer is used to follow all the online events and courses for online education with Growth Labs Academy. 

Students are required to use their own laptop or desktop PC with at least 50GB of free space on the hard drive, at least 8GB of RAM and a dual-core CPU with at least 2GHz working frequency.  

Apple machines could also be used. If an Apple laptop is to be used, we recommend the 13″ MacBook Pro (go with the 15″ display if you can afford it) upgraded with 16GB RAM.

Chromebooks are not allowed since you can’t directly control installed software.
